Searching the Health Professions Education Literature Like An Expert In-Person

Join Nancy Adams to learn how to construct a search of health professions' education literature using a search topic of their choice.

We will explore the use of three databases available through Harrell Health Sciences Library: PubMed, ERIC, and PsycInfo. 

Participants will learn how to

  1. Construct a search appropriate for health sciences education research using PubMed’s Medical Subject Headings (MeSH terms)
  2.  Demonstrate ability to access PubMed, PsycInfo, ERIC, and MedEdPortal
  3. Describe the differences between the most important health sciences education literature databases: PubMed, PsycInfo, ERIC, and MedEdPortal
